
The activities of the TÜBİTAK 4008 project titled "Inclusive 5D Practices in Special Education: Sustainable Nature," featuring our department faculty member Prof. Dr. Şahane Funda ARSLANOĞLU as an instructor, were carried out with the participation of students with special needs. Project trainings were conducted at Alanlı Recep Asal Mathematics and Nature School, Atakum Science and Art Center. The aim of the project is to develop awareness of recycling and upcycling among students with mild intellectual disabilities, to promote their inquiry skills and sense of curiosity through inclusive 5D practices involving the zero-waste theme for these individuals, and to increase their environmental sensitivity by supporting their cognitive, social, visual, and motor skills through the transformation designs they create.
